  1. Due to severe diskspace problems the 1.3 and 1.3.1 distributions have
  2. been removed, you can still download them from ftp.cwi.nl,
  3. /pub/python/mac or from the ftp.python.org server.

  5. Here you will find the 1.3.3 distribution, available as binary
  6. distributions for 68K and PPC and as source:
  7. Python-133-68K.hqx        68K distribution: executable, Lib, demos, etc
  8. Python-133-68K-small.hqx    68K app without Tcl/Tk support, for the
  9.                 memory-starved. You need the normal
  10.                 68K distribution for Lib, etc.
  11. Python-133-PPC.hqx        Full PPC distribution.
  12. Python-133-SRC.hqx        Sources, projects, everything you need
  13.                 to re-create Python from scratch
  14.                 (except for the libraries mentioned
  15.                 below and tcl/tk).

  17. The libjpeg-v4.hqx, libpbmtiff.hqx and stdwin.hqx are versions of the
  18. IJG jpeg library, the pbmplus and libtiff library and the stdwin
  19. library, all preconfigured for building Python from source. It is
  20. probably unwise to use this distributions for anything else.

  22. The nsremote directory, finally, contains a python module allowing
  23. control over Netscape from a python program.
